The purpose of the establishment is to be able to intervene in the best way possible in the predetermined safe areas when private hospitals cannot be accessed due to unplanned urbanization, logistics support cannot be provided due to debris after the earthquake, and the hospital capacities are full due to epidemics. Field hospitals, which we can also call emergency and referral hospitals, play a major role in reducing human losses.
How is the Field Hospital Established?
First of all, field hospitals should be produced with high quality, international standards, comfortable, practical, energy-saving technologies. During the establishment, first a risk analysis is made for emergencies and a suitable safe area is determined. Then, the units, departments and materials to be used within the hospital determine the installation format. The aim here is to ensure that patients benefit from health services in the best way and to support the economy by saving energy in the use of the hospital. Field hospitals, which are suitable for the purpose of establishment and meet all criteria, will perform their duties as life-saving hospitals for at least 2 years from the first moment they are established.
